Classically trained as an in-field, unit embedded military operations videographer, Sara Voigt has documented austere environments in over 10 different countries of 30+ different job field’s operations.

She has worked for academic institutions such as MIT, where she completed a 6 month fellowship researching advanced imaging machine learning, and Georgetown University, where she completed work as an in-house visual artist as an AIM-AHEAD consortium resident researching AI/ML model impact on the social determinants of health based on electronic health record (EHR) data.

Sara Voigt is a certified Broadcast Journalist, Public Affairs Specialist, spending her time between the US and Germany, where she returns to her Wurzeln (roots) during the spring and summer months.

In her words, her hobbies are “everything”. From combat photography in Romania, to hiking through the Swiss alps, to busing tables in Cincinnati, OH.
